Acupuncture
Tiny needles, the size of 3-5 human hairs, are inserted in points along the energy pathways in the body to help everything move more smoothly.
Think of it this way: if you were a planet, these pathways would be rivers. The needles help unblock debris or deepen the water at a particular point, which then benefits the entire river and thus the whole planet.
This ancient modality helps relieve mental, emotional, and physical concerns in our modern world.
Curious? Let’s talk.

That’s moxa (pulverized mugwort leaves) smoking on the end of those needles. It acts like “energetic chicken soup”, building energy and substance within the body. Many times, the needles alone are enough – and when extra support is needed, moxa and other techniques are added in to augment the treatment.
What Can It help?
Acupuncture has been used for over 3,000 years to help with everything from head colds to migraines, digestive disorders, back pain, anxiety, depression, major illnesses… and even helping broken bones heal faster.
The majority of my practice focuses on the stress-trauma-recovery spectrum and how it plays out in our bodies, minds, and hearts – which covers just about everything.
Curious if your signs and symptoms are related?
My goal is to always use as few needles as possible, letting the body’s own wisdom lead in the healing process.
Ways To Get Started
Let's Talk
If you prefer to investigate further before committing to working with me, we can meet online or over the phone to discuss what’s going on with you and how I might help. If you’re still interested, then we’ll get you scheduled for your first appointment.

The Intake & First Treatment
We will meet for up to two hours, during which there will be a detailed discussion about what it means to be you living in your body, a physical exam and a needle treatment. This appointment is a stand-alone. If you want to continue after that, we can discuss my membership model.

Why Choose To Work with Me?
01. Experience
In addition to the “About” page, the important thing to know is that when it comes to stress, trauma, and recovery, I’ve been there, done that, and know the way out.
02. Personality
I’m a nonlinear thinker with a big heart and a good sense of humor. Folks count on me to be forthright, flexible, curious, and, I’m told, wise. Also, in my presence, people know they belong, no matter what.
03. Services
In addition to the usual bag of tricks – needles, moxa, herbs, coaching – I often use somatic touch, word medicine and storytelling to help you live more fully into who you know yourself to be.
04. Performance
I’ve been at this since 2006. Several patients have continued to entrust me with their care for almost 2 decades. If it turns out we’re not a good fit, I’ll be happy to refer you elsewhere. I have many talented friends and colleagues.

Frequently asked questions
Don’t see yours here? Go to my Contact page and drop me a note.
Do the needles hurt?
I treat people using very tiny needles, about the size of 2 human hairs. Yes, they have a sharp point and may pinch as they go in; however, not always. Many points are completely painless and a lot of people take naps during treatment.
Do I have to have something "wrong" to get treatment?
Many people come to me to help maintain and enhance how they live and move through life. Follow the “Let’s Talk” link above, of sign up for an “Intake & Initial Treatment” and we’ll take it from there.
How Often Do I have to come?
For starters, I often suggest you come weekly for a month or more, depending on what is going on. Then, together, we will decide how far to space treatments out. The membership does require at least a 3 month commitment. I find that is the average amount of time it takes for people to begin to feel more vibrant, integrate their self care homework, and develop habits to tend themselves. This is a partnership and we will decide on these steps together.
