A guided somatic meditation based on the ancient understanding that “qi follows the mind” – with the ability to reduce physical and emotional pain, as well as create a greater flow to support people in living into
who they know themselves to be.

You’ve done all the things to “stay healthy” – eating right, sleeping, getting exercise, taking time off…

You have worked with a great therapist, discovered creative outlets, learned to tell a bigger story…

And… still, your mind and your body seem to be at odds. Something is still not right.

This is where DMBI℠ Comes in

The first thing to understand is that, in the medicine I practice, the “mind” does not reside in your head, it lives in your heart. Your brain is a very valuable, high-paid legal counsel, that should never be running the show.

The second thing is that your body is very wise and faithful. Whenever you experience something that you just can’t ingest, reconcile, or make part of who we are, your body agrees to sock it away for safekeeping. Unfortunately, when that happens too often, the closet doors fall open and out come aches, pains, latent diseases, and other ick.

Our work together will be to get your heart back in charge and remind your body that it can let go and relax.

Each live video session includes:

Review of your history (either from the form at the first session, or what’s happened since your last session).
I will ask a variety of follow up questions. Some may be factual in nature, while others may be experiential. Examples of the latter may include:

  • “What happened right before you experienced ‘x symptom’?”
  • “What happened in your body when ‘y’ was going on?”
  • “What do you notice in your body right now?”

From your responses and your delivery, I will then assess possible blockages in your emotional, mental, and physical body. They are, in fact, all one thing – just different layers of density.
I will then lead you in a guided somatic meditation. There will definitely be “audience participation” during the session.

There may also be homework.

This may include anything from a physical exercise to a soup recipe, an embodied practice to “go see a funny movie”. All are designed to equip you with tools to look after yourself going forward.

What to Expect

Prior to your first full session:

You will fill out a detailed history form, providing me with important information about how you got to this point in your life and in your body. You may tell me as much or as little as you want.

My major interest lies in how you are carrying it in your body and the nature of the stories you are telling yourself. We will then set up a series of live video sessions.

My goal is to empower you to tend yourself. 

Not be dependent on me. I’m just the pit crew. All of our work together will be based on one or more of the following:

Can this really work online?

Yes. Since DMBI℠ is based on the ancient understanding that qi (energy) followed the mind (attention), you will be the one affecting any changes. I will simply be guiding you to do so in ways you may have not explored before.

Do I have to keep doing it indefiinitely?

That is up to you. Because you will be doing the work yourself, you will be able to return to the practice of it and creatively riff off of it to release any blockages on your own. That being said, many people find value in having regular weekly, monthly, or quarterly ” DMBI℠ tune-ups” to provide maintenance support.

Can It Help With Physical Stuff too?

It can. People have experienced a drastic decrease in migraines and headaches, relief from arm, neck, and back pain, calming of digestive issues, deeper sleep, etc. The division between our bodies, minds, and spirits is artificial. So, reintegrating ourselves, through DMBI℠, can bring an ease in all levels of who we are.

Does this conflict with my religious beliefs?

Only you can answer that question. However, Christians, Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, Pagans, Atheists, and others have all benefited from DMBI℠. Most faiths and philosophies accept the idea that we are individualized creations of life and that integrating our consciousness with the rest of us is beneficial to living a happier, healthier existence in service to the greater good. I am happy to discuss this with you if you have any further questions about this.
