Distance Mind Body IntegrationFor Groups

(DMBI℠ For Groups)

A grounded, connected, receptive experience, based on the ancient understanding that “Qi follows the Mind”.

Your audience will be lead through a somatically guided meditation that brings them comfortably into their bodies, awakens their receptive senses and connects them to the larger group in a matter of minutes.

It is not an ordinary meditation.

Based on the company mission and event theme, sessions encourage general nervous system regulation of both the room and the individuals present.

All it takes is a few minutes at the start, before and after lunch, and at the close of the day, for your company to become more cohesive, more focused, and healthier.

Areal view of people milling around at a corporate event

Does This Sound familiar?

You show up to a corporate event, notebook or laptop in hand. You sign in, collect your swag in the lobby and go find a seat. You are very aware of everyone around you and how the room is laid out. You shift in your seat, seeking that delicate balance between comfort and respectability, since you’re certain you’re being watched by someone.

We’ve all been there.

This heightened awareness might be excitement; however, it is turning off your ability to ingest information. You and the majority of people around you are not completely in the room. You are forecasting into a huge array of “what-ifs” in hopes of being prepared for all of them at once.

What if there was a way to get everyone comfortably in their bodies and ready to engage with those amazing presentations?

Utilized in a series – as an opener, before and after lunch, and as a means of closing the evening session – DMBI creates a container for thoughtful engagement, deep ingestion of information, and creative connection, while avoiding information overload and physical exhaustion. Uniquely designed to align with the company’s mission and the event’s focus, it can also be experienced in breakout sessions or as a perk for event management staff.

This is where DMBI℠ Comes in

Depending on the size of the room, Dr. Campbell will either address the group from the stage with a mic or from the front of the room without one. After a brief introduction, she will ask everyone to silence their devices.

Everyone will be guided to put their feet flat on the floor and close their eyes, as she leads them through a DMBI experience based on either the theme of the event, the mission of the company, or the more general energy of the room.

Participants will guide their introceptive awareness through their bodies, shifting their overall state to come more into alignment with themselves, while using their proprieception to connect with the rest of the group as a whole, and focus on the purpose of the event.

DMBI EXAMPLE SESSIONS

opening meeting for college residential counselors

They are guided to find where in their bodies they feel most at home, encouraged to relax into that feeling, let go, and ground into the earth through their feet. They are reminded that they are tasked with creating a safe home for the incoming students and embodying it in this way for themselves and others is just as important as any programming, if not more so. Finally, they are encouraged to spread that awareness throughout their entire bodies and make it their own before opening their eyes and taking part in the meeting.

Closing A Large Corporate Event

Participants are guided to focus on all they have taken in, to check into where they feel it in their bodies, and to gently settle it in for later retrieval. They are encouraged to review, by way of a brief internal glance, the things that were stellar and worth keeping, while also physically releasing of any of the filler that was repetitive or unnecessary. All to prepare their bodies to have room for the food they are about to ingest during lunch or the focus they will need to drive home.

Settling & Focusing A Noisy Room

Participants are guided to take all the “busyness” in their heads, chests, and nervous systems, and let it drift slowly down through their bodies like snow settling in a snow globe. (See the short sample recording on the individual DMBI page.) They are encouraged to notice what happens when they feel it come to rest in their hips, legs, and feet, while also drawing their attention to how much clearer their minds are and how much more detail there is to their hearing, as they then open their eyes and become fully present for the meeting.

What Others are saying about

DMBI℠ For Groups

Lauren Ashley, founder of Catalyst

Janice has the power to shift the energy in the room in such a powerful way!

She has lead my virtual community in grounding before multiple events and the impact has been tremendous. Everyone always comments on how peaceful, calm and centered they feel after. Could not recommend her services more!”

Karen Zeigler, Chief of Staff, The Octopus Movement

What I loved about Janice is her non-linear way of bridging health, wholeness, and the business world. Perhaps an acupuncturist in a business meeting seems odd, but just as she addresses the elephant in the room (pain points) in her acupuncture practice, she does the same in the business setting through DMBI℠ . Have you ever attended an event where the excitement was palpable? While it may seem good, it often keeps us out of focus and off purpose. We are in our heads about the meeting, possible connections, if the presentations will land, etc. Your business events will definitely benefit from her work and so will everyone there.”

Michelle Cheyne, founder of Wisdom Seekers Society

“I have been astounded at what a difference it has made to our online gatherings since Janice has been helping me create a sacred space for our Seeking Wisdom through Dialogue calls. The DMBI℠ somatic meditations provide opening and closing bookends that create a sense of containment for our conversations. They bring a focus and a more embodied presence to all participants and deepen how they show up and contribute to the dialogue. Possibly one of the most impactful ways to set up a room and close it off. As one of our participants said recently, Every meeting should start with this’.”

Frequently asked questions

Not seeing your question here?

Drop me a message on the Contact page and I’ll respond to you directly, and add it here, de-identified, of course.

Can this work online As well as in person?

Yes. Since DMBI℠ is based on the ancient understanding that qi (energy) followed the mind (attention), participants will be the ones affecting any changes. I will simply be guiding them to do so in ways they may have not explored before.

Are these skills that my employees can learn to do?

Yes, because they will have a somatic memory of it, they will be able to return to the practice of it and creatively riff off of it to release any blockages on their own. That being said, many people find value in having regular weekly, monthly, or quarterly “DMBI℠ tune-ups” to provide maintenance support.

Can It Help With Physical Stuff too?

It can. People have experienced a drastic decrease in migraines and headaches, relief from arm, neck, and back pain, calming of digestive issues, deeper sleep, etc. The division between our bodies, minds, and spirits is artificial. So, reintegrating ourselves, through DMBI℠, can bring an ease in all levels of who we are. This is also true when applied to the integration and stealth belonging work that is done in groups.

Does this conflict with My religious beliefs?

Only you can answer that question. However, Christians, Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, Pagans, Atheists, and others have all benefited from DMBI℠. Most faiths and philosophies accept the idea that we are individualized creations of life and that integrating our consciousness with the rest of us is beneficial to living a happier, healthier existence in service to the greater good. I am happy to discuss this with you if you have any further questions.

Is there science that backs this up?

Yes! Please check out the DMBI℠ Supporting Research page on this website. We continue to update it from time to time.

Can this work be done one-on-one?

Yes! Check out the DMBI page for more info.
